THE CHARACTER

Full Name: Eli Marie Nox
Nicknames: Eli
Age: 16-10/10/80
Year: 6
Pets (if any): Black and white cat named Charlie and a brown barn owl named Screech.
House: Slytherin.
Blood Lines: Pureblood mother, Muggleborn father.
Background: Eli had never lived a charmed life. Her mother died of childbirth and her father left her at an orphanage when she was 6. Everyone, even the caretakers, loathed her. Not that she cared what they thought. So she said. Many a night, if you were awake you could hear the soft sobs coming from her bed in the corner. Around the time she turned 9, strange things started happening. If Eli was angry things would happen to the perpatrators. Bad things. Often hurtful things. The day she turned 11, Dumbledore showed up. Now, she knew where she belonged. Who she was. A wizard. 5 all too short school years went by and each summer she returned to the orphanage. And every year she was there she passed ALL her tests and exams with flying colors. She had never been concerned with the rumors spread around the school. Until now.
Personality: Eli is very quiet and reserved. She really doesn't talk much unless absolutely necessary. Even then it's more like a few words. The only one who can get a full paragraph out of her is Snape. Nobody really knows why, but of course being teens most everyone thinks it's because she likes him. True it may be that he is her favorite teacher, but she doesn't even know herself if she likes him. Eli, if presented with the need, will fight like nobody's business. With fists. She prefers not to use her wand for that kind of crap. She's also very level-headed, cool, calculating, annoyingly logical and unpredictable.
Appearance: What's to say? Eli is beautiful. Only problem is-most guys only like because she's so...."chesty". Her hair is thick and dark brown; it falls just past her shoulder blades when down. She prefers to keep it in a low ponytail. Eli's eyes are dark brown. She generally wears white knee-high socks, short, grey skirts, white long-sleeved button down shirts, green and silver striped tie, Converse flats and typical Hogwarts robes. Her weekend attire is usually a fitted tee, jeans, hoodie and same shoes.
What makes your character different: A fox Animagus, can also produce a corporeal patronus. Also a fox.
What does your character thinks about Dumbledore: She thinks he's the crazy old man that saved her from certain peril.

I glance around. It's just pathetic, really. Everyone is terrified by what a hat will say to them. Not me. Not Eli. The first kids seemed countless. It seemed hours until they finally called my name. "Nox, Eli?" I heard too many murmurs of surprise and a couple of giggles as a girl stepped up to be sorted. The hat was placed on my head and even as it began to speak, I refused to flinch. "Well, well. What do we have here? Very smart, not a know-it-all, you'd do well in Ravenclaw. Not particularly hard-working , are you?" The hat laughed too loudly and as I winced, several more guffaws broke out from the Gryffindor table. I growled softly and intense hatred flooded me. "Ah! There we go! Something I can work with. Better be....Slytherin!"
