Blood Lines: Paula is a muggle-born. She is the first in her family to exhibit any signs of being a witch or a wizard, although both of her parents are what most would call ‘Wiccans’- very New Age believers. Her mother is Indonesian, and her father is American, so she speaks both languages and was raised to respect the cultures of both. Both sets of grandparents live in their respective native countries, and Paula and her parents take trips each summer to visit them.
Background: Her birthday is on 9/22 ,and was born to to Diana and Tobias Jennson. Both of Paula's parents are Wiccans, so she grew up believing in ‘magick’, although she never dreamed that she was able to actually cast spells, fly on a broom stick, or any of the other things that began happening just before her eleventh birthday.
When Paula received her letter, her parents, at first, believed it to be some kind of hoax. They threw away her letter, and ignored the owls that began to appear in the front and side yards. When they received a visitor the next morning, they were shocked to say the least. It took some convincing- and pleading on Paula’s part- but her parents finally consented and sent her off to Hogwarts.
Personality: Paula is very friendly and outgoing- she has never met a person that she has been unable to get along with on some level. Some would also call her naïve, because of her stubborn determination to see the good in people. Paula also, although she rarely shows it, has a fiery temper that she inherited from her mother. She is very protective of her friends and family, even going so far as to start a fight to make the offending person regret their harmful actions or words. She enjoys school, and studies hard to make sure she that she will get the most out of her years at Hogwarts.
Paula is what some people would call 'ecentric'. She has her own style- and most of the time it is not what's considered cool. She usually goes her own way, says what she's thinking, and doesn't really care what other people think of her.
Paula is also very imaginative. She writes short stories as a hobby, and when she gets an idea for a new plot, she sees the entire story in her mind's eye before she gets it down on paper.
Appearance: Paula has waist-length, glossy black hair that she usually keeps in a high ponytail, with two long pieces that hang down in front of her ears. Her green eyes are usually sparkling with laughter or mischievousness, and her skin is naturally a light tanned color. She is very confident in herself and her abilities, and carries herself with self assurance and pride. She has a somewhat curvy figure, with a small waist and a large chest and wide hips. She is not very tall, only about five feet four inches tall, but it is all legs.
What makes your character different: The most notable difference is probably her bilingual abilities, and the fact that she has seen more than just the English countryside. She also has a very vivid imagination, and not only writes her own short stories, but also draws out the characters and places from each story.
What does your character thinks about Dumbledore: She has a high level of respect for him. During the day she saw him after the letter was sent, she found him to be a very kind, very sane person. She has found that she is usally a good judge of character, and she doesn’t believe in what the Daily Prophet or the Ministry has to say about him.
