THE CHARACTER
Book Character, or Original: My Character is an original character. She is not associated with any character in any of the books.
Full Name: My Character’s fully name is Iris Evie Keller.
Nicknames: The nicknames my character has are Eve (because it is her middle name) and Tiger (because that is what her friends called her by before she transferred, for she has a feisty personality)
Age: My Character is 16 and was born May 11, 1980.
Year: My character is transferring into 6th year.
Pets (if any): She has a three month old cat named Midnite.
House: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff
Blood Lines: Iris’s mother’s bloodline goes as far back as the gypsy witches of the Black Forest along Alcaeslorraine. Her father has the mixed heritage of mostly half-bloods and muggle born witches. It is only know that the his line was started with one pureblood back when the founders were still alive. But unlike other pureblooded lines, his ended with that one person. For they had married a muggle born; which broke that line.
Background: She has lived all over the place (for short periods of time), but still hasn’t yet found that one place to call home. For the most part she has been lived mostly in the United States. Her magical education before transferring to Hogwarts was at Andromeda Light Academy. Before that (until she was four) she did live in a small part of Germany.
She has always wanted to be an actress. So in doing so she has taken acting classes as well as dance. She also has taken some singing classes as well, but though she can sing Soprano, she really shouldn’t do solos. She is also good and pranking and really good at payback.
Personality: Though because she has no siblings, she is very protective of the friends she has and the ones she makes. She considers them more her family then her own is to her. She is extremely loyal to those she considers friends and family. Though for some reason it is very hard for her to trust people, when she does…its like she is a whole new person to be around.
But like some people, she does get quiet manipulative at times, but only when it is necessary. She gets awesome revenge on people when its called for…so no one should ever really try to get on her bad side. Basically, she is just very odd. Heck, just her persona would keep any sane person on their toes. For no one is ever quite sure what she will do next…not even her, herself.
Appearance: Iris is 5 foot 4 ½ inches tall with bright blue eyes. She has black hair with permanent blue streaks (the result from a potions accident when she was just starting to learn). She also holds the slight German accent. Though you can only hear it clearly enough when she is very mad or upset. Though otherwise you can only hear her American one.
Her clothing is that of any teenager in America. Well…for her it depends on her mood in the morning. It could be anything as simple as shoes, T- shirt and jeans to dresses. She also sometimes wear baggy clothes. Though she has been know to dress very preppy or sometimes slightly slutty (or at least what she considers it to be).
What makes your character different: Sometimes she has premonition type dreams. Also, she gets vibes off of people.She also can use slight wandless magic, but only in the form of blue fire. Like how high the flames are and lighting things on fire. though she is still learning to control it.
What does your character thinks about Dumbledore: That he is cool and would make a really great grandfather, though he can be meddlesome at times. Her whole family is basically neutral about the war. They want nothing to do with it. Though she herself wishes just to shut everyone up. But alas that wouldn’t be possible to happen unless someone killed all the Death Eaters and Voldemort as well.
If she had her way (if it would only work too) she would go under cover and assassinate Voldemort in his sleep. And poison all the food in the Death Eaters complex. Really, to be honest she could kill people if she really wished to…but it so has to be for the right cause.
Third Years to Fifth Years: inaccessible due to they are from an American school and their teachings are slightly different.
Sixth Years and up: DADA, Charms, Potions, Flying lessons, Ancient Runes, and Transfiguration.
Special Requests: I would like to know how you become more then just a muggle? in standings of course.
Sample: “Keller, Iris,” McGonagall called.
Closing her eyes for a second, Iris took a deep breath. Stepping forward, she sat down on the stool and the elderly lady placed the old sorting hat on top of her head. The hat, in all honesty, almost fit her head perfectly, but of course it was still big. A second after Iris was done contemplating that...the hat started to talk inside her head. ‘Ah…now lets see what is going on in that head of yours?’
Stupid hat must think he’s a psychiatrist or something. See what is going on in my head indeed. Even I don’t know what’s going on up there...
‘Hmm…you’re extremely loyal to your friends and to yourself. Very protective and wishing to be more free willed and take chances. The mind set that can learn any and everything of interest, but not just anything...though there is a strand of idleness in you when it comes to schoolwork, eh? I see you hate to read continuously of text books.’
Ok…um, yeah, now this thing is getting creepy. I so can’t wait to get this thing off of my head and out of my mind...
‘They are all great qualities for any House. Wanting to learn many things is a Ravenclaw trait. Being protective is Hufflepuff. Your loyalties are suited for a Gryffindor. Though, Slytherin would help you a great deal in you desire of being free willed and learning to take chances. Hmm…where to place you…I think the best place for you to completely take advantage of these things is…’

With that declaration, Iris took the hat off of her head and walked over to the far table on the left. Sitting down so that she could still watch the sorting without having to turn around, she watched as the lady called the next name.
