As he left the bookstore rather, perturbed and annoyed, Lance decided to walk around the shops at Diagon Alley a little longer. As he walked his mind instantly wandered to the place he and his father always went shopping and saw some of the most amazing things ever, Knockturn Alley. Lance instantly decided that he was going to make a small detour and check out what was going on in the dark reaches of Knockturn Alley on this rather eventful day.
As he made his way to the seemingly deserted corner of Diagon Alley that led to Knockturn Alley he ran into a few other sixth year students that Lance knew as acquaintances rather than friends but greeted his fellow housemates all the same. As he rounded the corner he came to the old deserted looking alley that was home to some of the most amazing dark magic he had ever laid eyes on. As he walked down the alley he walked past several shops including several of which containing things such as shriveled skulls, magical orbs of fortune telling, and even some dismembered hands. One shop in particular caught Lance’s attention, Borgin’s and Burke’s. As he walked through the alley and into the store he noticed many familiar faces from Hogwarts.
Finally after walking though the entire alley, seeing several strange witches and wizards (one of which who was French and trying maliciously to dismember his own hand and sell it for a few galleons), and walking past several witches with carts selling strange and grotesque appendages, he walked right into the store.
