Rules are needed for everything in life. All players of this game must abide by the rules and understand they are here for a purpose.
If you read all of this please put I am not an amazing chocolater somewhere in your application, which should go in the corresponding forum. Applications not in the correct forum will be deleted.
- Respect fellow role-players, and mods. This rule should be self explanatory we can not have fun if we insult each other. Anything that might be trouble should be discussed. Keep OOC drama out and if you have a problem with someone just contact any of the staff members.
- No Mary Sues, Gary Stues. At the moment we are not accepting pureblood characters, unless you have an awesome application. We will also probably not accept you if your character is a quarter werewolf, a quarter vampire and half human. Let us try to keep humans in the game ok?
- What the staff members say is what goes so I don't want you trying to convince us to accept you. Most of the time we agree with one another and are so nice we might even offer tips to help you get better and not annoy us so much. In the end, the last word is still up to us and we usually do it for the good of the community.
- No OC characters are allowed to be related to canon characters, and no relationships are allowed with existing characters unless the player of the existing character has be asked. Seriously. Please. We do NOT want Snape's illegimate daughter or Harry's unknown half brother or anything of that source. Only relation may be that ever so distant relationship between pureblood families, and even that is up for admin's decision.
- Please if you sign up stay active. We do checks and if you have not been active in a couple of months we will delete your name from the member lists and your little post count will go down and your titles will also go buh bye. If you are going to be absent just state it in the Absence/leaving forum. It is common courtesy to let the players know that you are not going to be available since we all have that pesky thing called life that sometimes catches up to us.
- Please use proper grammar and spelling when writing posts. It is very annoying to try and figure out what a person is trying to say in a post. It is not too hard to write your posts in word, or just revise them it saves lots of headaches. We can let a bit of spelling and grammar errors slip but when your whole posts makes me scratch my head then something is indeed wrong.
- No godmodding, which means that you can not decide how other characters react to something you say or how a spell you used affected the other person unless you have it okayed with the player of the character. You can only control the actions of your character and maybe a NPC or two.
- Consider what is common knowledge and what is less common knowledge when you are writing your posts.
- Remember that students should be wearing their uniforms at all times, unless in the common room or on a weekend. Dinner, breakfast, and lunch in the Great Hall is always in uniform unless it is a weekend or you are allowed to be out of your uniform for some special occasion. Among those lines remember that Hogwarts is a school and if you are caught doing something that probably is against the rules you will have to face consequences. Remember these curfews:
First Years to Second Years - 8:30pm
Third Years to Fourth Years - 9pm
Fifth Years to Sixth Years - 10pm
Seventh Years - 11pm
Following this rule Remember Hogwarts is above all a school so keep that in mind and be ready to face IC consequences. - When it comes to major plot developments please talk to a one of the staff members there will discuss it with me, it is even better if you talk to me yourself since I can tell you exactly how I think and how we can work it. Also, do now that if you sign up and leave you give us free reign over what to do with your charrie, especially if it is an OC.
- I like to see character development I do not like it when people randomly kiss after just meeting (unless your character is like that). In the same line as that please warn in the title if anything strong is going to go on in the thread as not everybody will be willing to read smut.
- PB's should be reasonable. No thirty something posing for teens. Also keep in mind the age of your characters and the description you gave during sign up.
