Before you ask an administrator a question, these are frequently asked questions that you should read.
We will add more frequently asked questions, if we see people are having the same problem.
Hopefully this current list helps you find answers to some of your needs. If one of your questions has not been addressed, feel free to ask your question here and an administrator or possibly longtime rpg’er with us, will have an answer.
- I want to apply but don’t know where to begin?
I suggest checking out Getting Started in the category Start Here. In there you will find the rules, the plot differences since our board is an alternative universe since book five and six never occurred, taken and available canon characters, and the application templates. - I put my application in a day or two ago and it has not has not been looked at.
Administrators are not full time rpg’ers, so it is possible they are catching up with real life. If you want after two days, you can always drop a friendly note to one of our administrators to point out that your application is sitting there. - How do I put up an avatar or signature?
You go to your profile. It is a link at the top of the page, under the banner. Go to modify your profile. Scroll down to you see avatar. Write in the full address of your avatar along with the dimensions of your picture. Remember anything wider than 130, longer than 150, or both will be proportionally resized. If your membership isn’t a wizard, then the images will be proportionally resized to nothing more than 100 in width, height, or both. Once you become an rpg’er (wizard) than you will be able to have avatars that are 150x130.
For signatures scroll down where it says signature. You must use ubbc codes to put up pictures. Most commonly is . They must be between between 550x200.
You can find out about avatars, signatures, and images here.
You can find more about ubbc codes here. - My images don’t look right. How do I make it bigger?
See this thread. - Some of my codes don’t work, why not?
Ezcode doesn’t work here.
You must use ubbc which is universal for all boards except ezboard. Most boards use ubbc codes. Proboards, invision boards, and phpp boards use ubbc. A list of all known codes and how to use them has been made by me. (This compiled list is courtesy of Future Hogwarts and may not be used without permission.)
