The year is 1977. The Wizarding World is facing a threat unlike any since the time of Grindlewald and no one can be trusted; even the most trusted of friends have become suspect.
Lord Voldemort, referred to by his Death Eaters as Dark Lord and by the rest of the Wizarding World as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, has set his sights on finding the way to eternal life. He has begun, already, to safeguard himself by nefarious means, and yet he has began to hear rumors that the Philosopher's Stone, at times still considered nothing more than the stuff of legend, has resurfaced.
Deep in the bowels of The British Museum of Wizarding Antiquities in Central London, one of the Dark Lord's faithful servants has found information that promises to lead to the location of either the Stone or the keys needed to create the Stone. All that stands in the Dark Lord's way are the descendants of those who worked, side by side, with the reknowned Flamel - the wizard and his wife living, currently, in the content obscurity of the Alps.
Suddenly what used to be an innocent knock on a door has become an exercise in extreme caution. The descendants of pureblood wizards from hundreds of years ago are being threatened. Each week brings news of disappearances and deaths; each week Lord Voldemort's grip tightens as he moves inexorably closer to finding what he wants.
Yet, there are those, under the leadership of Albus Dumbledore, who are working to fight against the madness that Lord Voldemort desires to bring about.
Though we know who will win the first war, who will win this battle? Does your family hold the key that will lead to the path of eternal life? Does your character have the ability and fortitude to battle against the Dark Lord and his minions?
