Probably some people have noticed these, but I'm just organizing my observations on Lupin and relationships to other things.
To begin with, Remus is the name of one of the founders of Rome. Him and his brother Romulus were said to have been raised by a wolf mother.
A further connection with this is in the 7th book, on the radio station Remus's codename is Romulus.
Also, the meaning for the word wolf in latin is lupus, which is very similar to Lupin.
I had another one too that I just can't recall now. Can anyone else think of anything?

She has a lot of stuff like that. Like for Sirius. Sirius is the dog star, and black is the color of dog he was when morphed. I can't really recall many more off the top of my head, but I believe that Harry means ruler or something along those lines and Ron is like servant to a ruler. I may not remember correctly though since I stumbled upon this about 2 years ago I believe. It was pretty interesting though. (for some assignment we had to find the meaning of our names, and I got bored )
