I have registered my user name and password but I don't know how to create a character please explain how to create a character.

Well, first of all you should probably go to the getting started section and read everything. Not just the rules, because there are a whole bunch of other sections you should look into as well. Like the taken canon characters, if you want to play one of them, as well as some other things. You'll also find the application templates in there for students, adults and creatures. Just choose the one you want, fill it out, and post it in the 'Apply Here' board. Now all you need to do is wait for an admin to read over your application and let you know if you are accepted or not. To make your chances better, you might want to look at some of the already accepted members' applications. They're here: hogwartsahprpg.proboards104.com/index.cgi?board=profiles. What if you cant remember if you sent in an application or not cuz you joined a long time ago and you just got a letter now asking if you were still there. so you were like oh Wow!!! sweet and you dont remember any of it???

Then make a new app. You would have had the character accepted and under your name if you had.
