The truth had been spoken in the Final Feast on Harry’s Fourth Year. Dumbledore believed that the students needed to be informed of what had happened, however very few families wanted to believe that the safety in which they had been living could be shaken. The following summer was enough proof that things had not changed. Everything was quiet; Harry was sent back to the Dursley's and spent the summer in expectation, waiting for something to happen.
Nothing happened that summer, everything was quiet. When classes started once again nothing was different, except for the presence of Ministry workers in Hogwarts. The Ministry workers were there on the excuse of revising things. To the displeasure of many if not all professors, they furrowed their brows and tried not to look too displeased at the sight of them. Everything was easy going until the Ministry Workers left.
On a meeting of professors in Hogwarts, Dumbledore stated that he would be leaving Hogwarts before the Ministry workers returned, clearly he knew what they wanted and so did every other professor. Anyone with a mind would know that what the Ministry wanted was to get Dumbledore out of the school. They did not want him to be able to un-balance the supposed safety everybody felt. Dumbledore knew when it was time to keep a low profile, he had information to acquire. He was of better use in hiding than kept under wraps by the Ministry.
The next day the Ministry went through a full search for Dumbledore, however they were not able to locate him. Within a few days the whole Wizarding World was told by the Daily Prophet that Dumbledore had finally gone mad and that Ministry Workers were on the look out for him. Meanwhile, at Hogwarts students received the arrival of a new Headmistress that was appointed by the Ministry.
The witch was an old woman called Abigail Williams who was strict, and did not seem to enjoy any nonsense coming from the students. The Ministry did not stop at appointing a Headmistress. They managed to keep a close eye on the professors and as such be very selective of what the students heard and learned. It seemed that any possible channel was being controlled. Not many witches and wizards believed they were in a time of war simply because nothing happened. And as for Dumbledore, they believed him to be a madman and Aurors were sent to find him.
However, unknown to everyone the two sides were preparing for the inevitable war that was going to dawn at any moment.
Summer soon came, and with that the end of Fifth Year. The students were relieved to finally be able to go back home after a stressing year under the Ministry reigning over their heads. Little did they know that their troubles were just starting?
After the students spent a week at their homes they were informed that a mandatory camping course was to be taken place during the summer holiday. Few students, including Harry Potter, were able to escape the torture that would have been spending the summer under the watchful eye of the Ministry. All though it turned out that things were not that bad, until one morning the students woke up early to see the horror of a terrifying message with the Death Mark hovering above the camp.
The Daily Prophet was quick to report the news, having received it from unknown sources. The article stated that students had been kidnapped by Death Eaters. It included a message in which Death Eaters informed the ministry that unless the school would be handed over the Ministry could have fewer students to worry about. In the camp things were chaotic, students asked for actions but the professors did not seem able to give them any explanations and merely told them to keep themselves inside.
Only a pair of students was bold enough to actually take matters into their own hands. They ended up being capable of finding out where the students were taken with the aid of two Ministry Workers. Once they arrived at the scene they ended up falling into the trap of the Death Eaters which ended up having been also aided by of one of the Ministry workers.
Things were not looking well for the students, and they even had to witness the murder of Cho Chang, who had been part of the group that was kidnapped. The students thought the worst and that they were going to end up just like the Ravenclaw girl until members of the Order arrived and saved them. Later came some Auror members.
Even with the glaring evidence, the Ministry kept everything wrapped up. They changed the memory of the Chang family and called the students that had been a part of the event crazy and heat stroked. They also said that the article that had been sent to the Daily Prophet was sent by Dumbledore in an attempt to regain Hogwarts which everybody seemed to believe.
This were not the only problems the Ministry was facing, Cornelius Fudge had suddenly vanished and an escape from Azkaban had been reported just at the start of the summer but only informed weeks afterwards. Presuming that the ex-Minister had just disappeared the Ministry of Magic soon appointed a new Minister which ended up being Lucius Malfoy who quickly solved the impending crisis of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class being emptied by assigning a new professor: a muggleborn witch by the name of Karen Smith.
Meanwhile the students prepared themselves for two things: another year at Hogwarts and an imminent war. The adults have all ready chosen their sides. Some choose no side and claim to ignore it. But eventually all choices will lead to an outcome. And it will be the future generations that will carry not only the burden of the choices and consequences of those actions, but also the future of the wizarding world.
Can unity finally rise? Or is that just a futile attempt? The walls of Hogwarts are not the only thing in danger but also the very students in it.

Our Hogwarts is in danger
And we must unite inside of it
Or we'll crumble from within
And we must unite inside of it
Or we'll crumble from within
