Welcome to the Obliviate Forum - a Harry Potter RPG Forum set in the Marauders' time at Hogwarts, at 1974.
- Lord Voldemort rises to power in 1970, gathering his circle of fellow Death Eaters around him, spreading the ideology of pureblooded wizards and witches dominating over all other magical people, terrorizing everyone they think of as "lower". "Blood traitors" are attacked as well as muggles and "mudbloods". Practically no one is safe anymore.
- It is a time of chaos. Aurors are permitted to use the Unforgivable Curses on Death Eaters, without warning. Suspected Death Eaters are handed over to the Dementors, who suck out their souls, without a Wizengamot trial. People are killed, tortured, kidnapped and never seen again. Nobody knows whom to trust, who is an enemy, who supports Voldemort and who does not.
- Albus Dumbledore creates the Order of the Phoenix, a secret society to oppose Voldemort and his followers.
