Stupid Question, but I didn't see an answer...

This might have been answered before, but I didn't see it. In the Book Harry Potter Series, Ravenclaw's colors are blue and bronze. In the movie, Ravenclaw's colors and blue and silver.

My question is, why did the movies change Ravenclaw's colors? And what color's do we go by if our character is sorted into Ravenclaw?

Since the movies are considered a completelly seperate identity from the books we keep to the books on this one. Bronze and blue are the Ravenclaw colors.
