Blood Lines:
Touda is a Half Blood. His father Ashrea is a very talented wizard who fell in love with a beautiful muggle woman, Kira Masahiro. They were the epitome of happiness even though Ashrea knew his family would not approve of him seeing a muggle, they were purists through and through, so the relationship and subsequent marriage was kept a secret. It wasn’t until Touda’s birth and his wife’s death that his family even knew what was going on.
Background:
Touda was born April 13 1980, in the Chugoku prefecture of Japan (the village of Tottori), into a half blood family known as the Masahiro’s. His mother, Kira died while giving birth to him, something his father to this day still blames him for. Ashrea was bitterly distraught after his wife’s untimely death and his personality grew darker as each day passed.
Holding no love for his new born son he took Touda to what he would later learn was his grandparent’s house where he was raised until he was 8 years old. His grandparents taught him the basics: spells, reading, writing, typical Japanese traditions and most importantly how to behave like a proper wizard so that he would not disgrace his family name. Their methods of teaching left something to be desired. Beatings and curses followed failures and as such Touda was quick to learn and even quicker to hide anything that would displease his grandparents.
During the eight years Touda was left with his grandparents, all he had ever heard about his father was that he was overseas conducting business that would do the family proud. Thus he was only mildly surprised when shortly after his 8th birthday; his father had come to take him to a place just outside of London, England. The move did not take long and his father’s only explanation was that he would attend a school called Hogwarts and learn everything he could about its students and workings.
The three years that followed were anything but fun. He had to learn the English language and be able to speak it fluently, he also was drilled and taught what must have been just about every spell imaginable, both dark and light. If he had thought his grandparent’s punishments for failures were harsh then his fathers were nothing short of hellish. This was learned very well after a most memorable “boys don’t cry” lesson. It was only after he had turned 11 did his Hogwarts letter come. Honestly Touda had never felt happier.
His first four years at Hogwarts passed by rather quickly and were anything but dull. During his first year the Chamber of Secrets was opened and the school deemed unsafe for anyone who was muggle born. Not that Touda’s father much cared. When Touda told him of the chambers opening and the Basilisk that was found he only laughed and said something along the lines of “I wish it would have ate more of them”. The following two years were equally entertaining with dementors running rampant and the famous Triwizard tournament.
During his fourth year things had started looking really unpleasant. The Ministry of Magic had placed officials all over the school. The atmosphere was nothing but tense. The professor tried their best to ignore the bothersome officials but as the term progressed things got worse. Dumbledore had disappeared to the dismay of the Ministry and Auror’s sent to arrest him. Try as they might he was never found.
At the end of his fourth year, just as summer was to start Touda found out, surprisingly to the irritation of his father, that a mandatory camp was being held for all Hogwarts students courtesy of the Ministry.
Unknowingly to anyone the whole camp soon found itself at the mercy of the Death-Eaters. Touda was unsure how he felt about the whole thing. One student had died and many more were scared senseless. He wondered how much of what happened was covered up by the ministry and how much blame was placed on Dumbledore. He only hoped that things would be better at the start of his fifth year.
Personality:
Touda is a very quiet withdrawn boy. He prefers the company of solitude to the loud voraciousness of large groups of people. His quick and cunning mind combined with his forked tongue have landed him in more than a few tough spots though he somehow always manages to easily get himself back out with one well placed comment or spell. He also has a healthy sense of self preservation and he will try and avoid potentially disastrous situations if it can be helped, though his temper combined with his thurst for family honour can oft times get the better of him. His loner status combined with his lack of people skills have given him a hard time. He enjoys walking along the forbidden forest and will play wizards chess or shogi with any of the professors if they should ask.
Appearance:
Touda stands a healthy 6'-1" tall and is very lanky though underneith his wiry frame lies hidden strength. He has deep indigo blue eyes that seem to pierce right through people and his skin is very pale. His raven black locks are long in the front and short and spiky in the back. His voice is rather soft and yet when he speaks he seems to draw people to him.
He wears 3 silver earrings on his left ear and a metal ear cuff on his right ear. Around his neck is a silver pendant depicting a snake wrapping itself around a cross.
Touda usually wears dark colors leaning towards greens and blues with hints of red here and there. His cloak, which he takes great joy in wearing to the dismay of the professors at Hogwarts, is jet back with small emerald green flames running up the sleeves. Touda also wears a pair of pilot’s goggles from time to time mostly during potions classes though he hangs them around his neck almost constantly. When he isn’t wearing school required clothing he generally wears baggy jeans and loose t-shirts and zip up hoodies.
What makes your character different:
Touda has a sharp tongue that usually gets the better of him. He also tends to speak before he thinks about what he is saying, usually landing him in a detention or two. He can also become quite touchy when confronted about his family’s heritage.
What does your character thinks about Dumbledore:
Touda is of the impression that there is more to Dumbledore then first meets the eye. He’s not sure what side Dumbledore is on or what his disappearance is hinting at. His views might be slightly biased due to his father’s influence.

Takes place in his first year at the sorting
His mood was abysmal and to make matters worse the sorting was taking ages. They had only just started with the 'C's and it seemed as though the sorting hat was hardly making any headway. Touda let out a small frustrated sigh. Well at least he wasn't home anymore and that had to be a bright light in his black world. He could remember the utter most joy he felt when he had received his Hogwarts letter. It was if a weight had lifted from his shoulders. His father was just as ecstatic, he would be rid of Touda until summer. Not that Touda minded of course. No more yelling, screaming, curses, drunken fits of rage. He was free of it for 8 whole months.
He had no doubt which house he would be put into, his family had been in Slytherin for as far back as anyone could remember, well at least on his father’s side. His striking indigo orbs scanned the great hall before him as another cheer went up from the Hufflepuff table. A small frown appeared on his face, the only hint of anything emotion behind the mask he showed the world. He had a reputation to hold up and be dammed if he was going to embarrass his family. His mind had begun to wonder along some unforeseen road, thoughts being carried along with the wind when he vaguely heard his name being called.
His head swivelled towards the annoying sound and it was then he realised that it was his turn to wear the hat. He steeled his gaze and made sure his face was completely devoid of any emotion and headed towards where the hat sat on a stool.
Time to face destiny.
